Saturday Youth Basketball Program
This is a program provided to students in fourth grade through seventh grade. It is a coed basketball program for boys and girls in the Morrisville Elementary and Middle Level schools. The program is presently under the direction of Mike Menard (Peoples Academy Varsity Boys basketball coach) with support from various parent volunteers.
The program has been available to students for many years through the commitment of varsity players and coaches. The Varsity Girls and Boys teams of Peoples Academy assist in introducing players to the game of basketball. Basketball skill development is done in a fun and structured manor for the first four weeks. The players are then drafted onto teams by the Varsity players who coach them for a series of games over a five-six week period.
It is a great experience for both the varsity players as well as the participants.
