Informational meeting about the School Health Index and Coordinated School Health Teams

The Morristown School District Comprehensive Health Committee is made up of members of the school staff, representing kindergarten through 12th grade and community members interested in the health and well-being of our school children as well as our community. With funding from the Vermont Department of Education, we are currently aiming to expand our membership to include students and parents as well as other community partners. As part of this effort we will be holding an informational meeting about a process to look at the current state of our school health. The tool used will be the School Health Index ( http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/shi/default.aspx ) developed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We encourage all those interested in the health and safety of students to attend this informational session and become involved in the well-being of our community.
