Student
Life
“I
love this school! It's been like my home.”
A graduating senior said these words to the principal,
this past June, as she faced life beyond high school.
Many students report similar sentiments as they reflect
on four years at Peoples Academy.
Being
like someone's home is one of the attributes which Peoples
Academy has developed by offering every student significant
ways to belong, to make a contribution to the school community
while learning and enriching his or her own life.
Visitors
report feeling a special warmth when they arrive at Peoples
Academy. Alumni retain their interest in and connection
to Peoples Academy. Following one of our traditional school
events, a new teacher said, “They never did anything
as meaningful as this where I went to high school.”
A former teacher observed, “I think I may have made
a mistake when I left Peoples Academy . There's no other
place like this.” A guest speaker said to the student
body at the end of an assembly, “You people have something
special going on here. I don't know how you do it, but
this feels like a family.”
Parents,
visitors, and prospective students are welcome at Peoples
Academy. Just call the office for an appointment and check
in at the office on arrival. We'll be happy to see you.
