GREEN FACT: Ecological footprint analysis measures human demand on nature. It compare human consumption of natural resources with planet Earth's ecological capacity to regenerate them. It is an estimate of the amount of biologically productive land and sea area needed to regenerate (if possible) the resources a human population consumes and to absorb and render harmless the corresponding waste giving prevailing technology and current understanding.  Using this assessment, it is possible to estimate how many planet Earths it would take to support humanity if everybody lived a given lifestyle.

ABOUT US

Mission Statement: The mission of the Farm-to-School Committee is to educate the school community about food quality and the relationship between food quality and health, behavior, and environmental issues. We are committed to researching, attending, and hosting conferences and workshops, and just doing it.  We will integrate healthy food and a system of waste reduction in our cafeteria while improving school climate along with personal and planetary health.
