Peoples Academy Career Academy of the Arts (PACAA) is an inclusive learning pathway for high school juniors and seniors who are passionate about the arts. We provide: • rigorous arts-integrated academic courses so that a diversity of learning styles flourish and college and career aspirations increase • a community among faculty and students of shared ideals and goals to raise academic expectations, collaborate on service-learning projects, enhance leadership capacity, and strengthen technical skills • authentic measures of assessment of student growth through exhibition, performance, writing, and portfolio for seamless integration Mission Increasing engagement and raising aspirations in the arts and academia are at the core of all instruction in Peoples Academy Career Academy of the Arts. Under the auspices of the Morristown School District, faculty members integrate theatre, creative writing, music, dance, and the visual arts into college-preparatory courses aligned with Vermont’s Framework of Standards. Personalized learning, flexible structures, real-life experiences, and curricular integration, and additional Vermont Principles for High School Renewal, are achieved in both the day program and co-curricular courses.
