This section of the site will begin to fill with exceptional interactive-learning and teaching resources that can be accessed online.  I hope this page will be a good way to begin directing students, teachers, and parents toward meaningful online destinations.  If you know of a a great Website that you feel we should include here; send an email to Mark Arnold with the address of the site and a brief description of what you find most valuable about the site.

A reminder! Check with your school's Library-Media Specialist if you are searching for specific information or resources.  They are the best people for finding learning resources.

Evaluating information resources: This is a nice and simple site that will help students think about how to evaluate the information found in the Websites they select. 

iSafe, Internet Safety: This site offers exceptional information about how students can safely and responsibly take control of their Internet experiences.  Parents and teachers are highly encouraged to explore this site with their children!

Space Station (NASA/IMAX) - This site was built as a extending resource for the IMAX movie that was produced for NASA about the International Space Station.  You can rent the movie at most larger video rental stores, but seeing it in an IMAX theater makes it seem like you are able to reach out and touch it yourself.  The resources at this site are great also!

Go West Across America with Lewis and Clark - It is 1804. U.S. President Thomas Jefferson has asked Meriwether Lewis to lead an expedition across western North America—unknown territory for all but Indians. The goals: map the rivers, make friends with natives, open the West to trade, and look for a Northwest Passage.

The Dakota Experience - In the last half of the nineteenth century, the Great Plains attracted settlers with the promise of a starting anew (though few left old ways behind). Explore historical images, artifacts, and documents. Delve into interactives territorial growth and settlement. Journey to frontier Deadwood in search of the real West.
Pre-European Cultures of Wisconsin - Over the past one hundred years, archaeologists have recorded and investigated thousands of sites left by western Wisconsin's earlier inhabitants. Explore what archaeologists have discovered about how these early inhabitants lived in the region we now call western Wisconsin.
Where in the World & What in the World is Money - This interactive game goes beyond coin collecting to take the player on a fantastical time machine ride through different times and places. In trying to get home, the player learns what forms of exchange have been used as money throughout human history.

Trading Around the World - The technicalities of international trade may be a snooze for middle school students, but a fast-paced game that challenges the player to buy low and sell high is just the ticket. Prices respond to the overall health of the global economy, and players can see how commodity prices change over time.

Understanding Slavery - How could slavery have survived so long in American history? The goal of this site is to put American slavery into global context, and to explore the ways that it permeated American social and economic institutions.
Campfire Stories with George Catlin - Take a virtual journey to meet American Indians of the 1830s with artist, ethnologist, and showman George Catlin.
